Whole-Home Electrical Rewiring on Oahu

Knob-and-tube removal, aluminum retrofits, and full plantation-home rewires across Aiea, Honolulu, Kailua, and Kaneohe.

Electrical Rewiring

Old Wires Out. New Wires In.

Your home’s wiring is the nervous system behind every light switch, outlet, and appliance. When it is 30-plus years old (common in Aiea and central Honolulu) or nicked from a prior remodel, you start seeing the signs: flickering lights, warm outlets, breakers that trip for no reason, or appliances that feel underpowered. None of that is normal, and most of it is fixable.

Sparky and Sons rewires homes from the panel out. That covers a single bad circuit you need traced and replaced, all the way up to a full rewire that brings a 1960s plantation home up to current NEC and City and County of Honolulu code. We pull permits, coordinate with HECO when a temporary disconnect is needed, and label every breaker so you (or the next homeowner) never have to guess.

We replace old runs with modern THHN/THWN copper and Romex where it belongs, and we add AFCI/GFCI breakers wherever code requires. No knob-and-tube left live, no aluminum branch wiring left in place, and no “we’ll just splice this” shortcuts. If we would not put it in our own home, it does not go in yours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to rewire if I have aluminum wiring?
Not always. AlumiConn or COPALUM connectors at every termination satisfy code in many cases. We will inspect and tell you straight whether it is a connector job or a full rewire.
How long does a whole-home rewire take?
Most three-bedroom homes finish in 4 to 7 working days. We work in zones so you keep power in part of the house every night.
Will you patch the drywall after?
We patch any holes we make, taped and sanded. Texture-matching and final paint we leave to your painter (or recommend one).
Do you pull the permit?
Yes. Every job that requires a permit gets one in our name. You receive a copy of the inspection sign-off when it passes.
