Can you install a Lutron Caseta without a neutral wire?
Yes. Lutron Caseta is one of the few smart dimmer lines with a reliable no-neutral model (the PD-6ANS). It works in switch-loop wiring configurations common in pre-1985 Kaneohe homes. It requires a compatible LED bulb rated for dimming — we check the fixture before recommending it. Not every fixture works, but most modern LED bulbs do.
My switch buzzes when the dimmer is turned down. What causes that?
